Nov 9 - Perfectly Joined

"Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.”
1 Corinthians 1:10 “And he gave some apostles; and some, prohets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.” Ephesians 4:11-13

The word “brethren” translates to mean that all Christians are a part of God’s family. As believers, we share a unity that runs even deeper than that of blood brothers and sisters. This simply put means that we cannot allow petty differences to divide us as a Church family. We all do not have to completely agree on every issue, but we can work together harmoniously if we agree on what truly matters – Jesus Christ as Lord of all. We have a huge project to complete, and it will require us to be perfectly joined together on the issues concerning this Kingdom expansion, known as Operation Transformation.

Prayer Focus: Dear Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, I come in your presence thanking you for Gethsemane Baptist Church. You have called us to be disciples throughout Hampton Roads and beyond. As we lift our voices in one accord, we recognize that you are God, and everything that is made is made by you. We thank you God that we here at Gethsemane all speak the same thing… expanding Your Kingdom. God, there is no division among us; we are perfectly joined together in the same mind. Grant unto us the representatives here to boldly speak Your Word. God let each Group and Leaders operate in the excellence of ministry and intercessions.

God I pray that every need will be met. Therefore, we will meet the needs of your people who come – spirit, soul and body. God I thank you that the Word of God is living big in all of us and Jesus is LORD! I thank you God for your presence among us and I lift my hands and praise YOUR HOLY NAME! Amen
